When Pagoda Cafe opened in October 2013 at the corner of Bayou Road and N Dorgenois Street in the 7th Ward, folks were talking. Partially because the atmosphere is so comfortable and serves as a meeting place for all sorts of people, partially because the coffee is great, and partially because no one thought that the old run-down Chinese pagoda would ever be salvaged - much less turned into a simple, clean, and fun space through design and custom woodwork by Colectivo.
